Ardwick Climate Actions' mission is to protect our local environment through grassroots advocacy that engages the local community. Our work encompasses the renewing of green spaces, monitoring pollution levels, climate advocacy through community engagement. Ardwick is one of the most deprived areas in Manchester, and much work is needed to reengage and sensitise the community back to nature and the climate crisis that affects all its residents.

Ardwick Climate Action have a bonus volunteering session on Saturday 5th April, starting from 11 am

We will be helping the local 465th Scouts Group that have taken over one of their green spaces and together have made a small community allotment. To kick start the growing season, enhance the site, and maybe even build a bench they are inviting everyone to a Patch party next Saturday.

There's lots of jobs to do - and even better there will be food and drink provided on site.

Location is Hanworth Close Manchester M13 - towards the Kincardine Road end. What3Words location is "///agents.dark.varieties" just look out for Gazebo or follow your nose!

Bring gardening gloves if you have them and dress appropriately for outdoor conditions.

About GoodGym

We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects across the Manchester region.
