We work in the UK and around the world. We carry out conservation work that you can see from space, built from the ground up. We protect habitats, save species, and help to end the nature and climate emergency. We do this through five main work areas: science, species, places, people and policy.

You choose the time and location!

We've lost 38 million birds from UK skies in the last 60 years. Every bird you do (or don't) see helps to give a valuable insight into how garden birds are faring. Over half a million people took part in the birdwatch last year. You can count birds in your garden or in the park. Choose an hour (at any time of day that suits you) between 24th and 26th January, and count the birds that land.

This mission is located wherever you choose to do your birdwatch, and at whatever time is most convenient to you. Remember to tempt the birds to land by sharing some food and water. Record your findings on the RSPB website.
