Who this task will support

Friends of Sheepcote Valley & Friends of East Brighton Park

We want to bring together like-minded locals and work together and with the Park Ranger, to explore, protect, enjoy and share our love of this beautiful space. Friends of Sheepcote Valley - Volunteer conservation group, East Brighton. A group of volunteers who work with the council to conserve Sheepcote Valley countryside. They meet once a month, usually on the third Saturday of each month at the cafe in the park.

Let's help park ranger Lindsay, the Friends of Sheepcote Valley and the Friends of East Brighton Park, with a green good mission in the area directly above East Brighton Park. This activity will take place straight after the parkrun, so you will have a chance to run or volunteer in that first if you want to, then time to grab a coffee, snack and use the loos ready for clearing paths and building steps!

This session is weather dependent but Lindsay is always very hopeful for a good day and a nice opportunity to hopefully make a bonfire (of brambles)!

Meet at the usual place, close by the cafe' where Lindsay, our host and cityparks ranger, will be waiting the volunteers including the GoodGym-ers with tools, spare gloves, drinks and a piece of cake for all.

Equipment needed: Please wear clothes suitable for gardening and that you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring gardening gloves – heavy duty if possible, water/sunscreen/hat/waterproofs (just in case). Tools will be provided.
