Groundwork East
Groundwork East is a community-led charity currently tackling food poverty issues across Luton. Groundwork currently has three food hubs open to the public from March to October in the form of drop in sessions. These hubs are open to the community in the form of drop in sessions to reduce social isolation, improve mental wellness and increase community engagement. All the fruit and veg grown at these hubs is donated to crisis services and participants.

We need help to dig weeds up in a small area of scrub land that has a few trees in it, random yukka plants and lots of ivy. There will be petrol/electric power tools, maybe brushwood cutters being used in the area but mainly digging and pulling things up by hand. Removal of branches & non native shrubs then re-planting native species. A fence is also planned to be erected. Litter picking, general tidy and clearing ready for the school to use for teaching.
