Creating a new composting area at Northcliffe Allotments

This new space will enable holders to compost more of what they can't use or compost on their plots, reducing the need to buy in compost.

This will be session 2 of our work to create new composting bays at Northcliffe. We achieved a HUGE amount last time, with Goodgymers working alongside plotholders who had volunteered to help on this site-wide improvement task. We had huge fun clearing out the existing compost and getting it barrowed off to plots across the site, and will continue to do this on 21st February. We will also potentially get down to ground level and start to prepare the way for posts and dividing barriers to be put in to create new compost bays.

How are you getting there?
