Library of Things is coming to Willesden - Helps us to spread the word.
Library of Things is a social enterprise that helps people save money and reduce waste by affordably renting out useful items like drills, sound systems and sewing machines from local spaces – and by helping neighbours share practical skills. Access to borrowing is more than a transaction. It is about empowering people in a community to mend, fix and build where they might not have otherwise, put on a family film night, a street party or bring gardens and green spaces to life. Making it as easy to borrow, equipping people with skills and sharing the inspiring stories of what our borrowers achieve is central to borrowing becoming a societal norm. Rental, especially for infrequently used items such as a carpet cleaner or a heavy-duty pressure washer dramatically reduces the amount of products needed by society since they are shared, ensures that product lives are extended through rigorous servicing and at the end of their life, they are properly recycled. This means emissions are avoided through less being manufactured and shipped, and fewer items being thrown away. In addition to this, through education and inspiration, people become more aware of their individual impact and take action to repair broken items they own rather than replace them.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SIGN UP - YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND IF YOU DO NOT SIGN UP HERE

As we get closer to the launch of Willesden Library of Things we're going to head out and do another flyer session for them! Join us for a social run and flyering session around Willesden.

We'll meet at Beer + Burger - we can leave bags securely and there are some toilet facilities. Do try not to bring too much and remember all items are left at your own risk.

New to GoodGym?

This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.

New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.

Options are available to run between 4km and 6km in total

Remember that we run to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you can't run for more than 15mins without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.
