International Women's Day run and task!
Everyone welcome to join us for a run, music, a rewarding task, celebration and free refreshments!
Location
Central Bandstand,Battersea Park
London
SW11 4NJ
Date and time
10:30 - 12:00It's International Women's Day - and we're celebrating it GoodGym style!
Everybody welcome!
The theme this year is 'accelerate action'', something which we at GoodGym are passionate about. So join us for a short run - expect music and fun along the way. We will then stop at a community space to planting bulb - but not just any bulbs.
As purple and green are the official colours of Women's Day, we're going to spreading the message with flowers in these colours. Purple symbolizes justice, dignity, and the women's movement. Green symbolizes hope and is associated with the suffragettes and opportunities for women. If you'd like to wear a splash of colour to represent this, then it's actively encouraged!
We will then run on to meet up with another female led charity which saves surplus food from being wasted for some free refreshments and socialising.
This is not a women's only run It's a chance for us to get together to celebrate International Women's Day, lift up those women around us, and to spread the word about equality and opportunity for everybody.
Please join us for a joyful session! If you'd prefer to just come for the task or the refreshments that's absolutely fine. Sign up as usual and I'll send across timings and locations closer to the day.
