Junior parkrun is a free, weekly 2km run just for kids aged 4–14. It is all about having fun, being active, and building confidence — not about winning. Every Sunday morning, local children turn up full of energy and excitement, and with a bit of encouragement, they run, jog, walk, skip, or hop their way around the course with huge smiles on their faces. And here’s where you come in… We are always looking for friendly volunteers to help make it happen! From setting up the course and marshalling (a.k.a. cheering loudly), to timekeeping, barcode scanning, or leading the warm-up – there is a role for everyone, and no experience needed. You will be supported by our lovely core team and a welcoming group of GoodGym regulars. It is a great way to start your Sunday – fresh air, good vibes, and knowing you have helped create something positive for local kids. You might even leave feeling more energised than they do! Come along, get stuck in, and see what junior parkrun is all about. We’d love to have you on the team!
