10:30 - 12:00We have been asked to help out at a volunteer day at Iona Community Orchard and in the Nature Reserve, the tasks are:
In the Community Orchard, the plan is to winter prune and mulch the fruit trees. The Council have left a huge pile of woodchip!
In the Nature Reserve, the plan is weed and re-woodchip the main path, prune the fruit trees, cut up wood for the stag beetle loggery and make progress on the dead hedge.
Meet the volunteers at the south end of Ladywell Fields (Bourneville Road) . Please bring gardening gloves and it will likely be muddy so don’t wear your best clothes!
