Bishopthorpe White Rose Junior Football club has a new football ground but the hedges have old brittle plastic tree guards which are breaking up and spreading plastic pollution.

The volunteer grounds staff are overwhelmed by the challenge of getting these guards removed and read about GoodGym in the York Press.

The ground is only (1.2km) 20 minutes walk or 10 minutes bike ride from York parkrun so why not join us after your run?

There's a coffee and bacon butty on offer from the football clubhouse for all volunteers!

You can find the ground here - https://w3w.co/allows.engine.venues - you can get there from Cherry Lane and Tadcaster Rd or along the bike path towards the 'planet route' from the parkrun finish line - and there is parking for bikes on site

Car parking is available for free in Zone F at the nearby park & ride (be sure to use the cycle path underpass to get to the club)

How are you getting there?
