12:00 - 12:00Run Up to Christmas is a festive themed virtual running event – so it can be run anywhere in whatever way you want. It is organised by Run Things to raise funds for two Mental Health charities (one being GoodGym).
You have from the 1st December up to and including Christmas Day to run as many miles as you want, or even better as you can. There are lots of milestones to reach, from 25km to 2,500km! You can do it on your own or with your best running buddies as part of a team!
This is not a run streak challenge, you do not need to run every day (but you obviously can if you want to). You just have to set a goal to hit one of our targets, track your runs through whatever running site you use. We would encourage the use of Strava as this can be linked directly to your account on our site, but you can also do manual uploads using screenshots from any popular running app, treadmill or watch. At the end of the 25 days submit your distance through your account area dashboard. If you’ve hit one of our milestones you get one of our festive medals. As always we will have prizes and quirky ways to keep you motivated to run this festive season!
Here is the link to join. Our group is called: GoodGym Woking and I think we will achieve a total of 250 kms easily.

It costs £17 to join the challenge. You may choose to receive your medal or donate it to the charities.

I really struggled to join this mission on my phone, I took Adam's advice and headed to a desktop and it was very straightforward. Just sharing Adam's tip in case others are struggling on their phones as well.
Thank you Kirsty. Sorry it was not as straightforward as I expected...
I have signed up for this now. Someone needs to approve my request to join the GG team on run things. I assume it’s you Anne. Thanks!
Thank you Nadia. Yes, you are now "approved". I wonder why I need to do so?
