One of GG Hackney best tasks is back! After a 3 year hiatus we have been asked to lend a hand this Saturday!

Getting this garden ready for community use will help to restore a precious community asset. It will be place where neighbours can work together, build relationships and connect with nature. Where people can feel more healthy and happy, and make community action happen.

Residents need extra help this weekend to move soil in the garden ready for the installation of their new raised planters next week!

Rita will provide a health and safety briefing on the day. The task will involve using long handled spades, and moving soil around the garden. Volunteers will be encouraged to practice safe moving and lifting, and to take breaks as and when they need to. Volunteers should bring water bottles with them for regular hydration.

The activity will be facilitated by Rita, from the charity 'Seeds for Growth'. Rita and the residents will be able to tell you more about the history of the project and their hopes and dreams for it as you shovel!

How are you getting there?
