***SUNDAY SESSION 11-1*** help clean up this beautiful Organic Community Garden to get it ready to open again

We've got a very special mission on Sunday 12 October.

It's our first Sunday session, and also our first collaboration - teaming up with local volunteers from Becontree Heath Litter Pickers and Roding Rubbish to clean up the garden.

After completing 7 missions at Gale Street in front of the cabin this Summer, we're now looking to open up the rest of the garden. There is a range of rubbish and litter amongst the undergrowth and we need some extra muscle to help clear the space!

Our group sessions are open to everyone - if you're new to GoodGym please sign up and come along - we are inclusive and friendly, and we'll be pleased to see you!!

🧤 What We’ll Do

• Removing rubbish from the garden area behind the growing beds

• Work together as a big team, looking out for each other and keeping each other safe

• Enjoy refreshments provided!

No gardening or litter picking experience needed! All tools and guidance will be provided on the day.

🕕 Timings

• 11am – Meet outside Becontree Underground Station ready to walk together to the Garden.

• 11.10 - 11.20 – welcome and safety briefing.

• 11.20 - 12.50 – task time (with breaks)

• 12.50 - 13.00 – wrap-up and high fives

• 13.00 - finish

Making the garden safe and accessible is key to getting ready to host a programme of well being activities for local residents.

• Nassaba, from Elevate Together, who’ll guide us through the task and provide safety tips
• Olivia & Nick from Becontree Heath Litter Pickers - cleaning up Becontree since 2023.
