Who this task will support
Sustainable Merton
As Merton's local environmental charity, we aim to inspire, mobilise and enable our community to take action on climate change and protect our environment for future generations. Sustainability and wellbeing go hand in hand, so our projects address both environmental and social goals, such as addressing the cost of living crisis and strengthening community connections. We believe that a happier, healthier, more connected community is one that will have the greatest impact.

If you can help for just an hour anytime between 10am and 1pm please do sign up, even if you can't do the full session time of 10am to 12noon.

Merton's Community Fridge e-bike is is trialling an initiative to help local residents who are not able to physically take their bulky waste to the pop-up tip.

How we will be helping: 1) Promoting Goodgym - Cllr Caroline Cooper-Marbiah will be on- site with us and is keen to promote the existence of Goodgym Merton to encourage new members and local organisation that need our help. This is a chance to see us in action, if people need help when dropping off items. But it's likely to be mostly chatting to people about Goodgym. Please wear your Goodgym t/shirt if you have one. 2) Supporting the e-bike team with pick up's. You will need to be comfortable cycling out to nearby locations, please get in touch with Jade (taskforce) if this is something you would like to do and bring your bicycle.
