Volunteering at Hove Park Junior Parkrun
Helping parkrun charity to run this fun and inclusive running event
Location

Date and time
08:30 - 09:30We love parkrun!
Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. We are spoilt for choice in Brighton and Hove with 5 parkruns across the city. Brighton GoodGym-ers love to run them or volunteer.
This event some others of us are supporting Hove Park Junior Parkrun in various volunteer roles - marshalling, barcode scanning and collecting barcodes. There is also a Good Gym Trail run from Hove afterwards!
If you want to join us to volunteer, come at the briefing at the Hove Chalet at 8.30.
Bring your Parkrun ID.
** New to parkrun?**
Parkruns are free, weekly, community events all around the world. Saturday morning events are 5k and take place in parks and open spaces. You can run, walk or volunteer at parkruns. You can even take your dog (if you have one) along! If you have never run a parkrun before, they are a great way to get into running in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Remember, it's FREE, but you can register HERE: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/ to keep a profile and register the parkruns you run, your times, and volunteering task covered, etc.
If you want to get involved in volunteering www.parkrun.org.uk%2Fhovepark-juniors
For some roster volunteering roles, you might need the official parkrun App to get timing and scanning. You can find details HERE and a video on how to use it HERE.
You don’t need any experience of parkrun, junior parkrun or of volunteering. There are a range of roles to choose from, and many of them can be combined with walking or running too. There is something for everyone at parkrun, you could be setting up the course, scanning people’s barcodes at the finish or ensuring everyone gets safely around the route as a marshal.
If you are coming email hoveparkjuniors@parkrun.com as well to confirm.
Please include your full name and, if you know it, your parkrun ID found on your barcode.
On the day: If you’re not sure of your weekend plans and don’t want to commit in advance, just turn up and talk to the volunteers when you arrive.
