Wild swimming - cold water therapy
Exhilarating, fun and good for you!
Please note that this training session has been cancelled.
Fancy trying wild swimming and cold water therapy?
Join us Warleigh Weir for a dip. There are steps into the water so you can go for a foot dip whilst sitting on the bank, walk in up to your waist or swim. The choice is yours.
Cold water therapy is known for it's benefits; Less muscle soreness improves recovery reduces body pain and inflammation Boosts your immune system Improves circulation And most importantly, you feel fantastic afterwards :)
No special equipment needed. Some people like to wear jelly shoes (as it's a little stony), or booties, neoprene gloves and a woolly hat. Make sure you do bring a towel, and lots of warm clothes for afterwards. We also recommend a hot drink and sugary snacks.
The meeting position is here on the canal: What3words: ///saves.united.hush
I'm happy to offer lifts from Bathampton (The George car park at 0945) please message below if you would like a lift.
