We began as a small number of local people that wanted to clear away the litter and sow wild flower seed in a neglected area of our local Nature Reserve. We have become a community based volunteer group, with over 50 followers and registered charity that focuses on re-wilding and enhancing our neglected green spaces in our local areas. We want to increase biodiversity and create Bee and wildlife friendly spaces. Using 100% Community Energy, we encourage people to learn more about nature through their green spaces and gardens. We are creating beautiful, diverse and educational spaces, as well as providing advice and education about Bees.

Welcome to WWF x GoodGym’s Workout for Nature. From 7th April WWF and GoodGym are collaborating on hundreds of sessions to celebrate Earth Day. Each session will involve a Workout for Nature - a physical volunteering activity which will benefit local green spaces, and give your own wellbeing a boost. Simply sign up below and come along. No experience required!

We'll be joining Bee Sanctuary for their Sunday volunteering slot from 11am until about 1ish.

We will likely be continuing (maybe even finishing if we get good numbers...) with the painting of their entrance gate and the volunteer shed, so wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on!

The location is on south side of Highfield Park or What3Words: ///slang.foil.land

Bring gardening gloves if you have them and weather appropriate clothing/footwear.

About GoodGym

We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects across the Manchester region.
