After last week's epic fitness session I was pleased to see most had returned tonight... meaning it couldn't have been as awful as they were making out ;-)
A big GoodGym welcome to Daisy who was on her 1st outing with us.
It was Sarah's 30th Birthday (apologies for thinking you were 40) so the plan was to head to brick pizza after the run... see where the pun came from! Sarah wore balloons on her head the whole evening.
Bill & Katy saved the day by collecting my GoodGym bag on their way as I'd left it at home... Bill was also at bit late as he decided to run up Gas Hill before tonight's session, the man is inspiring!
Tonight we were off to Silver Road Community Centre. Due to some slight change of plans we were going to be doing weeding... and there was a good lot for us to do. On the way we stopped for some squats, push-ups and step-ups.
Julie met us there with tools at the ready and the weeding started.
We did have to say RIP to a little snail didn't we Helen.
After 30 minutes of hard grafting we collected all the weeds in and put the tools back.
We had a bit of spare time and had to work up an appetite for the pizza so we went back via a longer route and Grapes Hill... but not before we did 3 rounds of 10x wall step-ups and 10x tricep dips.
Yet again it was a fantastic turnout with a bunch of awesome people who worked hard and earned their pizza and my god was it a good pizza! Next time I will try and remember to read all of the options as Alex's pizza made me feel very jealous.
Next week we're off to John Drake House.
