5 amazing GoodGymmers ran 3.5 km with a good few hill sprintz thrown in the middle hehehe!
It began as the shortest GoodGym run possibly of all time...500m around the corner to the local parish church! However we were welcomed with Christmas trees and a steel band who were definitely playing just for us...they are so busy this time of year so we began helping clear out some rubbish then tidied a room with Ankit organising an excellent human chain! It was then moving some steel drums and Alex, Graham, Jonathan and Ankit all deadlifted an entire bench about 500m..whilst I watched haha. I should have jumped on! This was followed by a bit of tidying of some Victorian era spiked bars!
We had some punscussion (pun discussion)...and on a night which must have been drummed full of puns...this was the best I could come up with.
Then it was off for some hill sprintz hehehe. We started with a warm up jog to the laney and a few longer uphill efforts with downhill for recovery. Then it was several short repeat efforts practicing driving with the arms and powering the legs quickly over a short period..wow did my legs feel like steel....(sorry everyone, this is why I need the punscussion!).
Then it was a short little jog back and an extra long stretching session after all the exertion. Everyone made an amazing effort and it was great fun too! To everyone who I won't see have the best bloomin Christmas and new year and see you in 2017!!! Or sign up to the last of 2016 here.
