Stripping on the stairs (not as dodgy as it sounds)
23 GoodGymers made their way 7.0km to help their local community in Tower Hamlets.

On a balmy summer Monday, 24 GoodGymmers including two new starters - welcome Kate & Adam - congregated in Bethnal Green for a bit of a different task this week. After a 2km jog to Whitechapel, we were welcomed by the Ministry of Start-Ups to a stairwell in a back-street which required our assistance! The local project are turning a disused building into a workspace for local startups & the walls in the stairwell were in need of a good scraping in preparation for some painting. Two thirds of the group spaced themselves up 3 flights of stairs whilst the others helped shift some wood which required transporting up to the top floor. The excellent 15 minute scraping effort then morphed into the most efficient conveyor-belt this trainer had ever seen. After 10 minutes, dozens of pieces of wood were transported up the stairs which will no doubt save the Ministry hours of effort, so well done everyone on the great work!
After the task we made the short trip over to Stepney Green Park for 3 laps around the 500m path, punctuated by starjumps, lunges and squats, then a 2km return back to base. Lovely running in the July heat from all.
Next week we'll be doing a double task around the Hollybush/Columbia Road area - hope to see you there!
