What a transformation! You should be so proud off-white you've accomplished...
23 GoodGymers made their way 6.0km to help their local community in Tower Hamlets.

After a couple of months away it was time to revisit Laura at the Aldgate car park to see how the transformation was getting on. Apart from you awesome lot in Tower Hamlets, we had around 25 Goodgym runners visit to start the painting as part of the UK's biggest charity day a couple of weeks ago, so this entire space will be turned around with the help of Goodgym runners!
After a quick warm up outside the hotel, (with the biggest group we've seen all year!!) we split into two groups, one headed by myself and one that Bryon led for the 3km run to meet Laura.
Dodging traffic and pedestrians down Mile End Road isn't easy, but we all arrived safely and ready to get painting!
The first group got the pick of the jobs, so it was straight to the pots of paint to bring the car park to life and brighten the place up. Chris and Scott got stuck in making quick work on the near wall, with a great attention to detail. With Christiaan and Nick leading the painting crew on the other side. Great work guys!
Bryon was in charge of hosing down the floor, while Simon got to work down the far end, bringing the up to scratch.
For those runners who haven't been here before the transformation is so great to see. On our first week we found a filthy, stained, smelly car park that was so dark and dreary. Now it's really starting to look like a space that is going to get used by the local community for good and that's all down to your hard work.. so give yourself a BIG pat on the back!
Such speedy sprinters!
Sadly it was time to go, so we headed off to Weavers Fields for a quick Fartlek session. It consisted of SPRINT to the fountain, WALK round it, SPRINT to the gate, then JOG back to the start. I've never seen such speedy runners in all my time at Goodgym, so a huge well done and I'm sure you'll find sessions like that will really help you improve your technique and speed.
Next week we're returning to the Victoria Park cemetery to tackle the ivy and weeds problems, so if you're free then make sure you sign up HERE!
