Bournemouth Report written by Bournemouth runner
Millie, Sophie, Emma, Harry, Eleanor, Daryl, Roger, Keith and Lea all got together at Langside School where Nick had more tasks for us to do. Cham, new to Goodgym and to all of us, managed to find us and was raring to go. Sylvie arrived âa tadâ đ€Ș laterâŠ. To summarise todayâs task: we were cutting, grabbing and tossing! Cutting A LOT, sweeping A LOT, grabbing A LOT, and the best part of it: tossing A LOT!!! The taller than tall hedge at the front of the school was attacked by the strimmer together with Harry and Daryl, with Cham sweeping to his heartâs content. Millie, Sophie and Emma got busy cutting back the rosemary bush and the garlicâŠmaking the air fill with lovely smells. At the back Keith started off cutting back major bushes on the edge of the playground. He was joined by the front squad and later on by Sylvie. Oh and not to forget about Roger: our ACE jetwasher, attacking the dirt on another classroom. As photos show: we got an awful lot done; very much appreciated by Nick who rewarded us with some sweet smelling bathbombs. What a Lush smell đ€ And⊠Eleanor was proudly showing off her 50 good deeds tshirt! đ Thanks everyone for all your hard đȘ work!

Poole Report written by Kimberley Powell (She/her)
On a very hot, sunny day on the south coast of Poole Ruth, Emma, Sophie and Kim along with other volunteers on behalf of Surfers Against Sewage helped collecting 8.7kg in a mixture rubbish. They even had the start of a new outfit with the socks, bra and gloves they found!
This event was in partnership with Surfers Against Sewage in their Million Mile Beach Clean and they certainly clocked a few miles towards this goal.

Bournemouth Report written by Caprice McWilliams
It's that time again, quiz time!! This week the group split into two teams with Caprice being Quiz Master. Four rounds consisting of Geography, Science & Nature, The Arts and General Knowledge. Tonight's session started with Caprice asking each person to make a paper aeroplane. After a test flight the team were to choose and plane and nominate a team member to fly it. The furthest plane would score the team five points. After some tricky rounds The Loose Women nominated Daryl to fly their plane and the other team nominated Sophie to fly their plane. Both planes were impressive but The Loose Women's plane won as it made it halfway across the room. They took the lead with 35/45 with the other team scoring 29/45. A very close score indeed! Well done to everyone involved, it was lots of fun this evening. What will Caprice make them do next month? Someone mentioned who could make the best hat? We will join the Abbeyfield residents next month Monday 12th May.

Six Goodgymmers, Millie, Sophie, Roger, Daryl, Keith and Lea, turned up at Langside School where Nick from Diverse Abilities had a diversity of tasks for us. Roger set to jet washing a classroom and did a really good job. Millie, Sophie, Daryl and Lea shovelled pebbles into wheelbarrows to spread out on a patch under the swing. Millie soon set to filling the holes and levelling the surface. Keith, after having looked for âlost soulsâ and not found any, took the shears and cut back some bushes to provide better access to the play area there. Lea then swept the outside of a shed before setting to the (her pet hate) task of masking taping windows on the shed. But it meant that Millie and Sophie could get on with painting around the windows, before moving on to painting the rest of the shed. With Lea, Daryl, Keith and Roger helping we got three sides of the shed done! Oh good, now Nick will have to invite us again to finish that off! And he certainly will, judging by the âthank youâ and goodiebags we received. Goodgymâs âdiversity in their abilitiesâ certainly showed itself today and hopefully will do so again on a few more occasions. Thank you everyone for your hard work. Mind you, it was not all hard work: the bouncing mat and the musical instruments definitely provided some fun.
