As the night started to draw in on mondays a gaggle of goodgymmers met at the forum for an inspirational warm up. 6 runners ram north uphill to Mousehold 35th sea scouts.
We met the organisers who had prepared for us to paint the interior of the hut. The difficult second coat!! Steven gamely volunteered to go up the scaffolding structure. The rest of us armed with rollers got to work quickly painting and cleaning areas !
Jenny J with dpggy in tow and Sarah helped the scout leaders prepare the upcycled tyres outside the hut. Also tidying and weeding! Great job ladies
In no time at all we managed to achieve the task and we hoped we improved the community space for the scouts and other users
45 minutes later we charged back out into the good night. Back to the forum to complete our run and enjoy the rest of our evening.
well done everyone x

We had another visit to Mousehold Sea Scouts. This time to do some painting inside the scout hut.
Our initial target was to paint below the blue divider and one if the end walls. In true GoodGym style, we got the job quicker so we had enough time to go 'above the line'.
The photos don't do it justice but we definitely brightened up the scout hut.

Tonight 12 Goodgymers ran 4km to the 35th Sea Scouts in Norwich.
We have regularly visited to help tame the garden, but for tonight's task we ventured into the Scout Hut. Brian & Roger gave us cloths, sponges and buckets to clean any dirty marks along the walls and door frames.
Shout out to Paul who was returning to the Scout group where he was once a member - on his first GoodGym task! I'm sure it brought back many fond memories...
After 45mins the walls and floor had been scrubbed clean, ready for a return visit to give the walls a fresh coat of paint in the future.
As the sun was setting on a lovely clear evening, we said our goodbyes and thanks for the biscuits.

Tonight 9 Goodgymer's ran 4km to help support the 35th Sea Scouts in Norwich.
When we arrived David gave us instructions to clear up brambles, find any litter and create more space for the scouts to use.
Rob and Steven got to work clearing the alleyway along the side of the building, allowing access for work to be completed on the guttering.
The rest of the group set about collecting rubbish and cutting back areas of overgrown weeds.
A request was made for 'long armed assistance' so Jenny and Mark helped to repair the loose tarpaulin roof, doing a super job that was very appreciated!
Well done Team for braving to cold weather. We will be back again in a few months to make a difference once more.
