Age UK Waltham Forest

Age UK Waltham Forest is an independent local, user-led charity established in 1982 supporting older people in the borough. Our vision is to see an inclusive, respectful and supportive society in which each older person leads a good quality, enjoyable and fulfilled life, and in their later years is supported to live independently at home for as long as they wish.

Our key services are: Knowing Your Rights (predominately assisting with Welfare Benefits/Form Filling); Befriending (to those living alone); classes (which in the past year have been limited to Zoom) including Tai Chi and seated yoga; digital Inclusion (workshops for laptops and mobile phone) and Scams Awareness (Advice and support). We usually support around 5,500 older people a year.

7 GoodGymers have supported Age UK Waltham Forest with 1 task.
