Hello, our names are Fran, Katy and Simon and we live on Alexandra Road and Derby Street.

It makes us sad that the old garden at the top of Alexandra Road/ bottom of Denmark Road is an absolute mess. We have spoken with the council and they have given us provisional permission to get together and turn it into a community vegetable growing space!

The three of us have already started working on the garden but we would love to meet others who would like to help. There are jobs for everyone to be involved with, from digging over the soil to chatting and sharing gardening knowledge. Our aim is to reduce social isolation, foster community ties and promote friendship.

We will be heading along and helping the project get off the ground/into the ground.
