Rosie, Anne-Laure and Sheila helped out at Maidenhead Festival, assisting with escorting cars and vans across the Festival site. Not an easy task as we had to look out for loose dogs, children, frisbees, footballs and anything else you can think of. Rosie had the honour (responsibility?) of escorting the Police van off site. All our charges were delivered safely to the exit, and we were pleased that we were able to help out at this incredible event

Georgeta, Meggie, Mark, Ben and Sheila all went to help out at Maidenhead Festival, a free community event. All the stallholders needed to pack up their stalls and transport their stuff off the site while the music and entertainment continued around them. Our task was to safely guide the cars across the site to their pitch whilst keeping all the festival-goers out of their way. As well as directing people to the toilets, first aid and lost property. Great work, team!

6 Goodgymers answered the call to help out on the final day of Maidenhead Festival. Amy, Clare, Diya, Kanika, Roberta and Sheila joined other volunteers for the session when all the stall-holders were packing up their stalls, whilst the rest of the Festival was still in full swing. Cars and vans had to be escorted across the park at walking pace, watching out for pedestrians, small children , dogs not on leads, stray footballs etc. Fortunately all were delivered safely without incident. As this activity was well-resourced, Amy went to help stall-holders dismantle their stalls, and Sheila armed herself with a bin bag and litter-picker and tidied the site of all the rubbish that hadn't found its way into the bins yet. All whilst enjoying the acts that were happening on stage. It was lovely to be able to help out at this amazing event, and see everyone enjoying themselves in the sunshine.

Georgeta, Jess and Sheila had an early start this morning, and went to help with the setup for Maidenhead Festival. This is free community event featuring music, dance, food, a funfair and stalls Sheila and Jess helped with the management of stallholders' cars arriving on site, directing them to the right place and making sure that members of the public were kept safe. Georgeta helped the stallholders with putting up the gazebos and unpacking cars. By 10 o'clock, all the stalls were up and ready for business, and all the cars safely cleared off site again. Georgeta cycled off for a social visit whilst Jess and Sheila enjoyed a well-earned bacon butty and joined in with the 'Wheels on the Bus' with Festival Fox

Anita, Kelley and Sheila answered the call to help out on the last day of Maidenhead Festival. We joined other volunteers for the session when all the stall-holders were packing up their stalls, whilst the rest of Festival was still in full swing. Cars and vans had to be escorted across the park at walking pace, watching out for pedestrians, small children , dogs not on leads, stray footballs etc. Fortunately all were delivered safely without incident. Then it was a speed litter-pick around the park, before calling it a day and partaking of some well-earned refreshments. We look forward to helping out again next year

Sheila went back to Maidenhead Festival to help some of the stall holders pack their gear back into their vans and leave the site. With the Festival still in full flow, we had to escort the cars at walking pace across the site, making sure the path was clear of pedestrians, find a space near to their stall, help load the vans and see them off the site again. This was followed up by some litter-picking, which was much less stressful and very satisfying to see litter where it belongs!
