Despite being a cold morning, a great number of families gathered this morning for the Junior Parkrun @ Peckham Rye Park. Thank you to the oragnisers and all volunteers.

If Sunday, it’s junior Parkrun day! 113 children finished their 2 k laps at Peckham Rye junior Parkrun. 2 Goodgymers supported this event, which was Cecilia’s first time volunteering at Junior Parkrun. Both of us were marshals, many cheers and high 5 were given on the course 😊

4 Goodgymers started their Sunday morning to support junior parkrun, where Sam and Maria were marshalling, Pauline was a funnel manager and Olive was timekeeper. 94 children finished their 2 km laps at Peckham Rye Park 😊

During half- term it is always difficult to ensure there are enough volunteer to run safely junior parkrun. When the Team reached out 4 Goodgymers signed up to support the team. Elena, Maria, Sam and Olive we’re marshals and cheered 102 children who finished their 2 km laps around Peckham Rye Park.

It might be getting a bit cold and dark in the morning, but still does not stop children coming to junior Parkrun. With the help of 2 Goodgymers (Clare was timekeeper, Olive was marshalling) the team saw 113 children completing 2km laps around Peckham Rye. Very rewarding start of a Sunday.
