If it’s Sunday, it’s junior Parkrun Day. This hot and sunny morning 102 children completed their 2 k run at Peckham Rye junior Parkrun. The event was supported by two Goodgemrs too, Brenda from Goodgym Croydon and Olive, who were marshalling on the course.

Today, I volunteered at Peckham junior park run as a marshall in position 3 , near the cricket nets. There were well over 150 children taking part, it was an awesome sight.

Peckham Rye junior Parkrun is back! As this week is half-term and help and support from Goodgym was much needed: Maria was a timkeeper, Clare helped with the finish tokens, Sam was funnel manager, Elena and Anna was marshalling on the course and Olive was a tail walker/ tail runner. 112 children finished their 2 k run this morning, what a great start of a sunny Sunday morning!

Because of easter holidays, and maybe some London marathon running/spectating , this junior parkrun had the minimum number of volunteers to go ahead this morning. Lucky goodgymers Anna and Sam were able to step up, alongside 22 other keen high fivers and barcode scanners.
It was a great run, and finished a little quicker than those plodding round the marathon route today.

The sun was struggling to shine through the mist this morning, but many families decided to start their Sunday at the Peckham Park junior parkrun! Best turnout in weeks!
