This mission was one of the best things I've ever taken part in! From the moment I have arrived, I have been surrounded by very friendly and supportive people who guided me as to what I needed to do so that I could make an impact, and you could see how committed and enthusiastic all volunteers are. Having spoken to a few active volunteers who have been involved in the Felix project for a while, I can see how the project makes a fantastic impact and how rewarding this experience is.

Will definitely be coming back for more missions!

Aga, Michelle, and Kareem had a fantastic time helping the Felix Project, a charity dedicated to rescuing food that would otherwise go to waste. The Goodgymers gathered with other volunteers to fill the pallets with trays and boxes of various nutritious food products, from fresh fruits and vegetables to baked goods, ready to be redistributed to local charities and community organisations. The task was not only fun but surprisingly easy to complete—everyone worked together seamlessly, and it was heartwarming to see so many people dedicated to helping out. Knowing that our efforts contribute to supporting those in need in our community made the experience even more rewarding.

Had a great time volunteering at the Felix Project. The staff did a very thorough induction and training so it was clear what we had to do. It was well timed and flexible if we wanted to do more or less.

Walking

On an early Saturday afternoon I cycled to the the Felix project not knowing what to expect. Pedro from the Felix project showed me around and explained the task. I joined Amy a regular Felix volunteer to prepare two pallets of goods for a local community centre. On top of the pallets we packed all sorts including potatoes, spinach, milk and bananas- all donated. After just an hour we managed to complete the pallets - ready to be delivered. Fellow volunteers and staff were extremely helpful. A really rewarding task with great people and a great organisation.
