Southwark Report written by Kim
As Old Spike filled up with GoodGymer's, it signaled it was time to head out from the warmth and into the cold. There was just time for a reminder about the Christmas Party before we set off (11th December - 20:15 - Voodoo Rays)!
On arrival, the task was clear, we needed to clean all the toys to make sure they're clean for when they children play with them! Armed with the tools (soapy/dettol water and some clothes) the team set about cleaning every toy in sight. Even the sofas didn't escape a thorough clean, which is good because they needed a wipe down too!
A team of 4 went to sort the craft supplies, throwing out dried up pens, sharpening pencils and making sure everything was in a more organised order.
With not long to go and a lot of plastic balls still to clean and all the toys to get back into the cupboard, everyone stepped in to get the last bits done!
After a quick photoshoot and goodbye to task owner Valentina, it was time to head back to Old Spike which had the promise of Athletic Brewing beers.
Well done to everyone for tackling the 6km run with enthusiasm and also thanks to Daryl for leading us a much nicer route than I had planned!

Hackney Report written by Dan (He/ him)
On this chilly November evening me, John and Ivo met outside All Good Beer for a social run to Made in Hackney, a new task to help a Local Community Food Kitchen. We met up with Jo and joined gardener Lucy to clear the millions of leaves that surrounded their garden.
Before we knew it we created a massive pile of leaves ready to be collected by the council. Well done all! We then made our way inside and warmed up with some lovely herbal tea and learned more about the fantastic work being done by this community kitchen.

Mrs C's garden was full of leave leaves, she wanted it clear. She had a good stiff -bristled brush and a big garden waste bag making this job a breeze. Lovely run in the sun through Hoxton and Cannonbury. Mrs C very happy and grateful for help.

Tower Hamlets Report written by Laura Williams
A still, crisp, Monday night saw a great-sized group of GoodGymers gathering at the Cranbrook Community Centre tonight to help clear a big build-up of leaves.
(Leaves collecting - and staying - on the ground isn’t great for the soil. The leaves also make their way into the centre continuously at this time of year, creating an endless sweeping task for the centre’s regular users).
With the annual AGM taking place tonight, it was a question of us gathering equipment, donning gloves, dividing bin bags and getting on with it.
With teams spread out over all four corners of the little garden, the GoodGymers wasted no time in raking, bagging and binning most of the leaves.
When the AGM finished, Janet headed out to inspect the garden, delighted at what she found.
With our task completed shortly before 8, we headed out to the Mace Street wall to finish with a little bit of flexibility work to get the week off to a splendid start.
As we strolled down the street, the team concluded that The Angel and Crown would be a good bet for this evening’s post-task pint. A cracking end to a lovely evening.
Until next time.
