Storm Darragh did not put off Tarek, Leszek and myself from heading down to the farm to support R with the farm. We were treated to a tour by a lovely volunteer and there was plenty going on to keep visitors occupied. We welcomed visitors and inspired them to feed the chickens, check out the bonfire and Leszek stayed to see the Christmas lights turn on at 3:30pm! We created mistletoe bundles for customers and helped to unpack Christmas trees - Tarek kept us warmed with good vibes and laughter. A great day to connect with the local community and try the tasty food on offer. We will gladly return to support the next mission!

Thanks to Leszek who represented us at the Totton Lantern parade on Sunday. He got to work helping with handing out the lanterns ready for the parade and supporting with the evening's activities. Great job!

It was fab to welcome Leszek to his first task in Portsmouth this evening - thanks for coming to visit!
The evening started with adding lights and sticks to the lanterns that people had made at various community events over the past few weeks. The next task was reuniting lanterns with their owners ahead of the parade.
Marshalling this year was a bit of an easier as the partial road closure magically expanded in to a full road closure.
Sinéad entertained the crowds with her light up poi (apologies for the spelling, Sinead!) whilst the rest of us carried the "special" lanterns that had been donated.
After spending a bit of time stripping lanterns of their lights and sticks ready to be reused again next year, we all headed off for some much needed down-time.

It was a warm one on the farm again this evening where Danni had instructions from Tom for us to fill the maze with manure from the muck piles.
We took it in turns shovelling, then transporting down to the maze site where we started to build the beds.
It was hot and smelly work and hopefully didnt put off our fab newcomer Michael who got stuck right in with helping out!
Having been part of the maze build since the beginning its very exciting to see the stage where its at and very rewarding. It was a good session and an extra good workout

A bit of a change from flyering this evening before our main session where instead we got stuck in to creating some fairy doors for the farm to use to help engage children on the farm site.
It was lovely to put our creative skills to use and have a chat as well as meeting the new piggies!

Leszek and I got stuck in clearing weeds and brambles outside Townhill Community Centre. Helping to make the area look good for the local community. Lots of fun on a beautiful sunny evening in the glowing light of the setting sun. We created a lovely pile of thorns, brambles and weeds which we then realised we had to transport round the corner. We have hopefully reunited a few stray toys we left near the gate which had been lost in the weeds and brambles. A good workout and we will be back to finish off very soon.
