My 2nd of 3 GG tasks today was helping to lay wood chip to create a path at College Road Allotments. This path will make some of the pitches more accessible.
Being joined by Clare and Mansoor we soon got into a rhythym of scooping the wood chip into wheel barrows, wheeling it round to the far side of the allotment, laying cardboard then dumping the wood chip on top....and repeat.
Looking forward to more tasks here in future, but first it was time for me to leave and make my social visit (my last task of the day).

Six volunteers met at Upton Court park to litter pick the car park on a beautiful sunny morning. This was followed up with a muddy walk to Eton where we were joined by Abdul making us the magnificent 7. Jean ran back while the rest of us grabbed coffee and cake before the return walk to Upton Court Park.

Mansoor Ali earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Mansoor completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Mansoor was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Goodgym teamed up with Stoke Park Active Volunteers to take down the Valentines decorations. Our hearts were racing as we paced around the room finding anything heart shaped to take down off the walls.
We also sorted out the art therapy books for the charity's social club. It felt ( tip ) great to help.
The charity is very grateful for the love shown today in helping out.
