Another day another task!

This morning we headed out to goatee beach to help Dominiks Wildlife Fund with their monthly drop in beach clean for the first time.

The sessions were set up 11 years ago by a 12 year old boy to help keep the local beach clean and tidy. Once we found where we were supposed to be and received litter picking equipment from the lovely lady organising we set off.

Joined by mini goodgymer and Wilson family we were surprised at the amount of glass we came across. Sarah was on glass box duty and mini helper took great delight in letting Sarah know whenever glass had been found by shouting "GLASS GLASS GLASS!" which became almost a rallying alarm 🚨

Wilson was pleased to discover her litter picker had a magnet and Claire very bravely disposed of a 💩 bag!

Amongst some of the better finds were 2 shoes (from different shoe sets!) some mascara, an old piece of crockery and some glass dating back to the 1880s.

Once we had finished with the beach clean we went in search of fairy doors on the board walk and then for some food (and colouring in) in the cafe at the tide mill. An excellent morning all around!
