Ashley, Pete and Rachel managed to find one another in the city centre after some road and car park closures meant a slightly later than planned start for this session.

The group set off for the Hope Centre to make their donations to the foodbank and to do some litter picking along the route.

Grateful for a break in the hot temperatures we've been having lately, the group cooled off in the city and discussed all things GoodGym, with it making a move to being community led in Derby, and what everyone had been up to.

It was great to introduce someone to what GoodGym is all about when they came over and asked the group and Ashley showed everyone a Korean streetfood restaurant that he thoroughly recommends.

Photo is of Ashley and Pete carefully considering what they're having for tea, the future of GoodGym Derby and all the good deeds the duo have done for their community.

Hope Centre Derby
Our services support people in crisis including young people, the elderly, low-income families, children, single parents, refugees and asylum seekers of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds living in poverty.

Our food bank seeks to provide a three-day emergency food parcel for those who are in need. We receive our food from different places around Derby – individuals, schools, businesses, churches and other charities all contribute to helping people in crisis. We are thankful for any donation, whether it be food (long shelf life and in date) or money – the more we receive, the better we can ensure we can fill the food parcels all year round.
