This week's group run had us visit Canbury Community Gardens where we met Marilyn and the chickens. After a few dry weeks the water butts were starting to empty so the first task was to fill buckets and large water cans and take them to the river to fill. Steve, Dave and Tom took on this challenge for a good arm workout and several trips did the trick. The water butt was filled and enough buckets were filled to water the veggies too.

Another task was to pull out the larger weeds on the path and to shear the grass to a manageable height. A job that's not always top of the list but important so the wheelbarrow can move freely up and down the paths.

Within an hour, the tasks were complete and we packed away. We waved at the chickens and headed off to the Albion for some refreshments. Great work, everyone!
