Three Goodgymers ran 4km to distribute leaflets for the Met Police!
At the end of a lovely bank holiday weekend we met at the Arc Centre to get a bit fitter and do some good for our local community.
This week we were leafleting for the Met Police, specifically the local Mildmay Police. PC Cameron contacted me to ask whether we could help in delivering some leaflets to help prevent bulgaries and specifically something called artfice bulgary. This is where someone pretends to be from the council, the police, a gas company or other services. They then break into the persons home and steal things. Obviously this is terrible and should be prevented as much as possible.
Keeping people safe
This is where we came in. The three of us headed north from the Arc Centre, avoiding Essex Road as much as possible and then we got to Mildmay. Here we focused our deliveries on Mildmay Grove South and Mildmay Grove North, areas that have been deemed a priority by the police.
After 30 minutes we were finished and headed in three different directions to go home or back to base.
Next week we are back at the Arsenal Hub and have a new task!
