Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Sylvia Edwards
On a cold and grey Wednesday morning Alex and I travelled against the crowds heading centrally to help out Mrs B on the outskirts of Barnet.
Mrs B had been sleeping in an arm chair, as she didn’t have space for a bed on the ground floor of her house. Following the direction of Mrs B and her brother, we quickly rearranged the furniture to make room for a hospital bed. The lifting of heavy things went very smoothly, to collective surprise, and both runners walked away unscathed from their exertions.
The task took just fifteen minutes out of our day – the fifteen minutes that we usually spend crammed into a rush hour train – but it meant that Mrs B will be able to get some proper sleep again.
