Well what a lovely evening. Last night we were heading out to a brand new location to make brand new friends within our community. We were heading out to meet Jack at the Riverview Court Care Home to make some sensory objects for their residence.
Firstly let me tell you it was a little chilly last night. I think the warm summer has definitely passed us by. To counteract this deep freeze :-) we started off with a good warm up to make sure our bodies and muscles were warm enough for the run ahead.
By 19.10 we were off. Weaving our way round the back streets of Welling. On arrival at Riverdale Court we were welcomed by Jack and the warmest indoor good deed task we've ever had. We went from having all the winter layers on to getting all the winter layers off, rapidly........
WE WENT FROM HAVING ALL THE WINTER LAYERS ON TO GETTING ALL THE WINTER LAYERS OFF, RAPIDLY...........
The evening started with us making some sensory items which was really interesting having not done this sort of thing before, to having a head storming session to see what ideas we can help with for our future visits.
Well the team did manage to make some kind of sensory items (Goodgym Style) so we will see if Jack is brave enough to let the residence test them out :'-)
The time really passed quickly this evening and it was soon time to get those layers back on and hit the cold pavements to Crooklog.
Quick shout outs to Paul for this weeks pun. Susan for looking out for the front runners.Nick for hanging at the back of the group, and every single one of you for being so awesome
Until next week gang..........
