Report written by Bournemouth runner
A reaaaaaaally cold night wasn't enough to scare off our runners on their last push to smash through the January Challenge!
15 of us got together at Flirt Cafe, and after a catch up and a team talk indoors we set off through the pedestrian area in the Square going the most direct route to Hope Housing.
We celebrated that Daniela had reached her 10th good deed, Jenni her 20th (we've had joint custody of her with her Netball for the last two years...and can't wait to have her come back more regularly!), and Nicole hit her 15th good deed! Well done guys, keep them coming!!
We arrived at Hope housing nicely warmed up and soon were tasked with emptying one shed...so we could swap the contents of another shed....so we had a bit of a shed swap on our hands.
The super efficient team got to work and soon had cleared out one shed and stacked all the contents on one side. Then the shelving unit had to be dismantled and with a lot of innuendos and a lot of teamwork we managed to get it into the other shed.
With only 10 minutes left to go everything was still outside and it looked like we had maybe taken on too much.....with a positive mindset, the team dug deep and upped the pace....10 minutes later everything was back in its place! Amazing!
Well done everyone!!!
Next week we're at Bournemouth Foodbank and we're looking to organise a dinner after a group run, and a salsa evening as well as a dinner. We'll have the vote on the member messenger chat!
Well done to those of you who ran this weekend!
Also, Claire has a friend who is doing a research project on breast feeding and has asked if any you lovely people would be able to help. I have uploaded a photo of the info.
See you next week!
