Daryl and Janet met Poppy and Camilla from Creative Kids to help them put up their gazebo, ready for summer clubs. After working out which gazebo we needed from the storage room, we moved it out into the roof of the shopping centre. Then it was a matter of teamwork, with each of us taking a leg and hoisting it into position. Camilla claimed not to know how to put the gazebo up but we soon realised she knew a lot more than she was letting on. After we’d decided on the best height for the kids, we made sure all was clicked into place and added some weights to make sure it didn’t disappear in the wind overnight.
Creative Kids is an Arts Education Charity offering affordable, accessible arts activities that help children and young people age 6 + grow in confidence as budding artists because every child deserves the opportunity to shine. We offer a national qualification in the arts. They are Cash 4 Kids Children Charity of the Year 2015 and are winners of The Queens Award (MBE for volunteers) 2016.
