This week our fitness session was an extra safe one, for the NHS maybe, not for any neighbours for those of us living in flats!

It was a Zoom workout based on bodyweight exercises, using only a chair/coffee table/sofa/step as our only bit of "equipment".

We started off by congratulating Laura on busting out her *50th*

good deed, having been to a vulnerable person's house to help them move a settee up from the garage. And Daryl was there to double up and give her a virtual high five from all of us!

Hope you get delivery of your black t-shirt very soon!

We also had Abi and Janet join us for their first GoodGym zoom session, and we met one of Janet's cute, laid back cats. Makes a change from the last session where we met Caprice's dogs....who got a bit excited seeing her mum work out....cats are the polar opposite! HAHAHA.

For our fitness session we did a simple movement warm up and then the challenge was to get through 3 rounds of 30 seconds on an exercise then 30 seconds rest before moving onto the next. The 8 exercises consisted of:

  1. LUNGES
  2. PUSH UPS
  3. JUMPING JACKS
  4. PLANK/DISH HOLDS
  5. LATERAL LUNGES
  6. STEP UPS
  7. MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS
  8. SQUATS

The group did brilliantly, passing with flying colours...although my glutes are a little tender this morning....obviously my weak area! Hmmmm....more lunges for me!!

Next week we have a running challenge again, so check the training sessions tab on the website and sign up.

Take care and enjoy the sunshine today!
