Date and time
10:00 - 11:00Emergency GoodGym help is needed in Ladywell Fields where around 300 young trees planted in January as a new hedgerow are now struggling due to prolonged dry weather - and sadly no rain is forecast in the near future. Please stop by and help the volunteer team who'll be filling buckets from a bridge over the River Ravensbourne, then carrying them to water the worst affected saplings. This promises to be hard but satisfying work!
Several watering sessions are being organised by the Ladywell Fields User Group to try to make sure the hedgerow survives. Find the team beside the railway fence in the northern field (near Ladywell station) - the new hedge runs south from the skateboard park, finishing at the children's playground next to the river and 'whirly' bridge.
