A 100 Accent Effort
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Ealing.
- Thursday, 28th of March 2024
Today's shopping mission for Mr G was pretty standard, apart from me venturing to Waitrose to get a different range of ready meals than Sainsbury's classics. I was back quickly with all the items and spent the rest of the time on a long chat with Mr G. I like talking to him as he is an interesting character with a crazy past and an honest non-conformist. We talked about stories from Mr G's youth, his fight for equal rights, volunteering, freedom of speech, and more casually, accents. Mr G thought I was French! He shared with me which of the British accents like Mancunian, Scouse, Scottish and Geordie he finds delightful to hear, and which not so much! To ensure the continuity of signups from Mr G's regular shoppers who might be reading this report, I keep the knowledge of his accent preferences to myself!
