A doorstep chat and a mischievous cat
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Bournemouth.
- Friday, 24th of April 2020
It was nice to start the day with a run before it got too warm - I’m not very good at running in the heat.
It was about half a mile uphill to the pharmacy where I queued to get Mr P’s medication. Then it was on to his house, a mile down the road with the parcel full of medicine. Note to self: buy a running backpack!
When I arrived, I was greeted at the door by Mr P’s wife who was a lovely lady. Once I’d told her that I’m a teacher, she began chatting away about her daughter who is a teacher too and her granddaughter who has just finished uni.
With my good deed complete, I ran home to create a 4 mile loop. I nearly tripped over a pesky cat on the way back: it clearly hadn’t got the memo about social distancing...
