A right Royal training run
10 GoodGymers made their way on a training session in Bath.

The weather was decidedly bonkers as we met on Tuesday evening at the leisure centre for our training run - the first time we've met here on Tuesday for over a year! As the snow fell and the sun shone Rachel led a warm up with Pascale, Richard, Alice, Max, Jer, Emily, Rob, and Helen.
Then we headed off through the quiet streets of Bath to the Royal Crescent, marvelling at the novelty of running with others in a group whilst also keeping a suitable distance apart.
We met up with Lucy and Helen explained our challenge for the evening - running loops of the Royal Crescent and gardens, with a one minute break between each run. We had to run at a faster pace than usual to push ourselves and improve fitness.
We ran one loop as a group, discovering the sly uphill of Marlborough Buildings, and then we were off individually. As we were all running the same circuit then your own pace didn't matter. The one minute breaks seemed to get shorter and shorter, but the flurries of snow and the evening light shining on the Bath stone helped distract from burning legs and lungs.
Finally Helen declared the time was up and we gathered for a group photo agreeing that the training had pushed us hard, but we just about had enough energy to run home.
