A Task of 2 halves

6 goodgymers met task owner Kit at Braywick Heath Nursery for our second visit to this amazing venue
Kit took pity on us and not wanting us to be out in the rain had organised tasks inside
The first part of this was moving some heavy desks around- after a few shouts of “PIVOT!” And some very Chuckle Brother like behaviour we managed to get all desks in one piece to the next room
Part 2 of the task, and by far the most satisfying task I have been involved in (sorry sumo suits) entailed the filling of seed containers with soil and feed so that the new seedlings can be planted ready for the summer
Friendly competition ensured and by the end of the task our very own Carol Vordeman, Rachel calculated that we had managed to fill 820 trays. This equates to 4920 seedlings being able to be planted and a whopping 1050 litres of soil used (more than enough to bury a body…..theoretically). No half measures of effort with this group
As the dusk turned to darkness and with a great sense of satisfaction, we made our way back to our cars and bikes and headed back home
