All the fun (run) of the festival!
2 GoodGymers made their way 3.0km to help their local community in Southwark.
- Sunday, 16th of September 2018
- Led by Lucy J
It was a community mission this morning to help set up for the inaugral Peckham Festival fun run.
We got out of bed (significantly) earlier than a normal Sunday to meet Ian at Peckham Rye at 7.30am. Our tasks were retrieving water, bags and signs from the bushes, filling up the bases for the cones with water, and setting up the signs around the Rye.
We finished just in the nick of time, so that Sophie could head off and run the 10k race while I took the lazier option of doing some marshalling.
It was great to see a range of runners out and about, including the 1km juniors, fancy dress entrants, and super speedy 10k runners like Sophie!
