An amble to cut brambles
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Bromley.
- Saturday, 28th of May 2022
An unusually low key weekend and a desire to keep up my Mission Streak led to me trekking to the even more suburban pastures of Orpington to assist Mrs J with her front garden.
(Bromley is big so a bus may have been involved, but 4km of jogging was still achieved on the round trip!)
I first removed the beginnings of a tree that was unwanted, requiring a dig down to expose the trunk and roots. Some literal wrestling removed a good deal of the trunk, but it went down a long way and Mrs J assured me that partial uplift was good enough.
Step two was a general tidy up of dandelions, brambles and other weeds in the beds and on the grass.
I filled a large black bag and enjoyed a mug of tea :)
