Back to Bank
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the Oxford Mutual Aid in Oxford.
- Saturday, 9th of October 2021
- Led by Anwen Greenaway
After a summer break from the weekend shifts today we were back to Oxford Mutual Aid Saturdays.
Our afternoon shift morphed from a clean & restock task to a (mostly) parcel packing task, as the earlier teams were short-staffed this week. We prepared a dozen or so parcels, sorted out food waste, and did as much cleaning and restocking as the remaining time allowed.
OMA stats from the last week:
- 247 regular food parcels were sent out, supporting 837 people
- 55 Emergency food parcels were delivered, supporting 153 people
- 242 prepared meals were delivered to 81 households
- 33 parcels were sent out to people housed in temporary accomodation
- Food was shared with Syrian Sisters to support 50 people
- Food was shared with Oxfordshire Asian Women's Voice in Rose Hill. That supported 68 people
Thank you for taking part in this BIG voluntary effort. You're the best!
