On a glorious late summer evening the GoodGym Bristol team ran out along the Bath Bristol Cycle Path to Easton Community Allotments.
The allotment had a large load of compost delivered, and our task was to barrow it to vegetable beds in the allotment and some compost bins.
We split into three, with 2 shovellers filling the barrows, 1 person organising the bins and the rest of us pushing the barrows. With Charlie and Sarah getting into a good rhythm filling the barrows, and Ben and Matt working hard on the barrows we made really quick work shifting nearly the whole pile.
There was just enough time to snaffle some raspberries and fill our bags with apples! We made really a quick pace on the way back, with Ellen leading us home!
We’re running again on Saturday morning to Brislington and then again next Wednesday evening to Golden Hill Allotment. Join us!
