Big night last night... Benson came back to us. The relief felt amongst the group was palpable. I slept better than I have done in weeks.
So by way of payment for the anguish he put us through, today's run report comes from the man himself.
A tidy site is a happy site
After missing lasts weeks run due to an exam I was ready and raring for another Good Gym Lambeth, however as I write this my legs are not as enthusiastic as they are feeling it today.
So to start with we did a nice steady 1.5 mile run to Myatt's field to find out what Guy had install for us. The main task could be summed up by the classic builder/Gardner phrase ‘a tidy site is a happy site’ as we were given the task of removing the majority of wood and cardboard from the yard into the back of the street scape van, as well as shredding old plant pots for drainage. The odds were against us with the fading light conditions so we got straight down to business and after 40 minutes or so it was mission complete, we had a full van and a very pleased Guy who had only good things to say about our efforts and his tidy yard.
Whist this was going on Rebecca had spit us up into three different groups and got us doing 6 sets of 24 jump squats and 24 lunges (144 each now that’s allot of bang for your buck!), subsequently that made the run home a slightly more tricky and slower task. However as always I had a cracking time and learnt some new exercise moves and look forward to next week’s adventure, however I may add a head torch to this week’s shopping list.
Another winning night, cheers.
